World premiere: the first fully mobile 400-meter speed skating rink for Milano Cortina 2026
The debut of a fully mobile 400-meter speed skating track at Fiera Milano Rho set a new benchmark for temporary sports infrastructure at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. For the first time, the system made Olympic-quality ice possible on a mobile platform and delivered consistently fast conditions for elite international competitions.
Thanks to its modular design, the rink could be installed and dismantled efficiently inside the exhibition halls while maintaining high standards of energy efficiency and sustainability. Despite its location at sea level, the track proved to be one of the fastest ice surfaces in the world. Outstanding ice quality and optimized climate technology led to a historic wave of records, with a total of seven new Olympic records set in speed skating.
