Intercable Arena – Bruneck (Südtirol, Italien)

REALICE – Intercom Dr. Leitner was responsible for the installation of the entire refrigeration pipes for the new multifunctional arena in Bruneck, IT. The know-how with permanent ice rinks, especially the cooling technology, has always distinguished REALICE. The arena with a focus on ice sports offers space for various ice sports, such as ice hockey, figure skating, ice skating, curling and curling, but also sledge hockey, short track or broomball.

Many other smaller and larger events also take place here, as the multifunctional arena in Bruneck also offers the perfect setting for concerts, conferences, corporate events and much more.

Aims of the project

• Planning and realisation of the cooling pipes for the cooling of all ice surfaces:
  • The playing field in the arena (International Hockey Standard 60x30m)
  • The covered outdoor training field (International Hockey Standard 60x30m)
  • The two curling rinks with Olympic dimensions
• Year-round use of the ice surfaces
• Multi-purpose use of the surfaces without ice
• Different surfaces for the ice surfaces so that they can be used in different ways in summer
  • Playing field à concrete surface, which is suitable for concerts, congresses, etc.
  • Outdoor training field à asphalt surface, which can be used by curling, inline skating etc. in summer. An asphalt surface is very low-maintenance and insensitive.
